It is well known that the blue dye tests are not accurate and that many have trouble reading them and I’m not sure where complaining to Walgreens will take you… I’m sorry you went through all of these emotions to find out the opposite! I would test again in 5 days if it does not come, sometimes pregancies can deceive tests, no matter how accurate they claim to be. It just happens for some reason. Good luck!

ugh, that’s frustrating! However, I wouldn’t say that blue dye tests generally speaking shouldn’t be trusted..I got my BFP on one and it was definitely positive. I’d just take them with a grain of salt..make sure it appears in the allotted time, etc. but I agree with PP, wait a few days, and if still no period and a BFN, call the doctor?

I had a false positive back at Christmas and later took another one and it was negative.  AF came a week later.  I read all about false positives and it could be that you and I both were chemically prego it just didn’t take for whatever reason.  Which could explain why AF was so late and the other prego symptoms.???  I too was confused and frustrated, with emos all over the place.  So I too did research and learned the best way to go is with a digital even though they cost more.  So what I did this go around was used the cheaper brand for the first test.  When I got a positive I tested with the digitial to confirm.  Hope your AF comes soon or your OB/GYN gets you some answers.

A few weeks ago, I went to Walgreens and picked up a pack of 2 tests. The first one was okay and the second one from the package already had a visible negative line across the result window before I even got to use it. I thought it was just a bad pack.

On November 30, 2015 I went to Walgreens again and picked up the same pack but had 3 tests. When I got home, I opened a test and it also had a visible negative line in the result window too! Frustrated enough, I opened the rest of the pregnancy tests and they all had the same visible negative line across the result window! Pissed enough, I dipped the stick into my urine and of course, it only emphasized the negative line. In the instruction paper that came with the pregnancy tests, it says that the smaller window on the right shows how accurate the stick is. After usage of the test, if there’s not a visible blue line in that smaller window, the test is not accurate. Now, I wondered, how accurate is this crap. The question is, why the fuck was there a negative line already in the result window even before I got to use it???!!!!! Such a waste of money!
