I know a lot of brides like to go with a classic manicured look for their big day and some go for beautiful bright reds or glitters but has or is anyone going with blue?
I saw these Oscar De La Renta pic’s again this morning but for the first time noticed the blue nails and thought what a fun way to inject something blue and a bit of personality against the completely white outfit.
I love this idea. Any thoughts?

I think that’s a nice blue! I thought you were going to show light bright-ass blue, which would not be my style… but I love the soft blue!

I was going to use OPI’s Teal the Cows Come Home, but I haven’t decided yet.
Here’s a picture of my nails against a wedding dress I didn’t pick. (Shade is Teal the Cows Come Home)

I love the blue nails! I actually wear a light shade of blue like that frequently (Essie’s Bikini So Teeny, a cornflower blue) and it looks fantastic with my engagement ring. I get so many compliments on it. I agree that it’s a fun way of doing the ‘something blue’ and I’ve been thinking about having blue or mint polish on my nails for my wedding.

I did this and also had all my bridesmaids match! It was a small thing that not a lot of people noticed but also one of my favorite parts. 🙂

@justjade: I wore a teal polish as a wedding guest once, and I actually really regret it. Ok, that sounds WAY too dramatic – it doesn’t keep me up at night or anything, but I notice it every time I look at the photos from that wedding. The blue polish is distracting in the photos. Also, unless you have very long slender fingers, any color that contrasts with your skin can make your fingers look short and stubby.
If you are thinking about it, you might want to take some test photos ahead of time to make sure you like the look on you in photos.

@justjade: I like it, I say do it! The French mani in wedding pics is so tired and overdone! 🙂

It’s pretty, but it’s not my style.
