It’s me again, haha.
Background: I’m already engaged. Fiance had no plans to propose when he ended up asking (2 days before I left the states for my base), it was really spur of the moment (holy crap, I’ve known for 7 months that you’d be leaving for an entire year, it’s just now hitting me! omgwillyoumarryme?!), so we just used the ring he had given me 2 years prior for our 2 year anniversary as a stand in until he bought my actual engagement ring. We had already picked it out, it was from Zales. Other things he’s gotten me are from Zales so I wasn’t worried about the quality of it.
BUT… I made him wait too long while I made sure it was the one I wanted and now they no longer sell that ring. (Imagine my surprise when I gave him the go ahead and he tells me they no longer carry it! hahaha)
So we’re back on the hunt. I’ve read a few posts from various bees saying they got their rings from Blue Nile. What do you think of the company? What about their service? And obviously how is the product? Post pictures, pretty please? Basically, tell me all about it!! 🙂
Oh and this is the setting I showed him last night from Blue Nile (Actually, I showed him two and he prefers this one, as do I):
ETA: I was just going to search WB for Blue Nile since I’m sure there are other posts about it… but my computer won’t let me lol. So here I am!

My ring is from Blue Nile. It is gorgeous and less expensive than if we had gone to a brick and mortar store. I can’t speak to their customer service, as it was my fiance who dealt exclusively with them, but he was very satisfied. Very efficient, educational, transparent process. We will probably return to them for the wedding rings 🙂

@AubByAub: Many ladies here are happy with thier Blue Nile rings. Mine isn’t from there, but thought I’d post a link to one of the threads since you couldn’t search for it 🙂 FWIW I’ve only ever read positive things about them.

Blue Nile isn’t bad. But for buying a diamond which i cannot see an acutal image worries me. They have nice selection, but by judging the numbers on the report doesn’t mean anything. I know there’s some vendors who will provide an acutal images of the diamond and that’s a win to me.

We’re getting our wedding bands from there because we bought two $100 off living social deals. But we didn’t order them yet, so I hope they’re ok!

We have purchased my engagement ring, our wedding rings and some other pieces of jewelry from bluenile, and we couldn’t be happier with them. Darling Husband had to arrange special delivery for my ring since no one would be home to sign for it during the day, and they were very helpful. Friends of ours also had to send an engagement ring back because the size was wrong, and they made it extremely easy. Everything we have from bluenile is very high quality for the price. Here is a pic of my rings – it’s rather blurry though 🙁

Thanks everyone! I’ll have to read all of your replies after work 🙂

My engagement ring is from Blue Nile, and it is gorgeous! I get compliments all the time about how brilliant and sparkly it is (from people I don’t even know, like random guy in Best Buy this past weekend). I would totally recommend them.

I found the most gorgeous wedding band on their site. I sincerely hope I am able to get it, but the price is a bit much for us.

My ring is from Blue Nile and every single jeweler that has seen it locally (i got it cleaned lots while we were wedding band shopping) has been extremely impressed by it. The quality is very high – they are strongly recommended by Forbes and many other reputible online sources. I would not hesitate.
Here is my ring

I also got my e-ring & band from Blue Nile. Like another bee said, even when I take it to a jeweler to get it checked, they have mentioned the great quality.
My husband was hestitant at first to pay so much money for something that he couldn’t see, but several of his coworkers who are very picky recommended Blue Nile & we were so happy with the result.
They provide all the specs and give you the print out of the GIA cert, that explains everything about the diamond.

My center stone came from Blue Nile. Darling Husband was able to customize a setting from a designer willing to allow him to buy the center stone else where. This saved him A LOT of money. As far as I know the service was excellent, no complaints, and definitely no complaints on my diamond. If you know what grade you want the diamond to be in each area of the c’s I don’t see what the difference is. Darling Husband looked at diamonds in person to narrow down which c’s were important to him before he went to Blue Nile to look for the diamond.

I know someone who has an e-ring from blue nile and it’s gorgeous. It’s a princess shape. The only thing I would caution is definitely do not purchase a cushion from Blue Nile as you can’t see any images of the diamond prior to purchasing it.

Me and several of my friends have blue niles rings and the quality is amazing. I love both my rings (both from there)!!
Edit: My ring is a round cut diamond, so shiny and beautiful!!

My ring is from Blue Nile, and I absolutely love it. My Fiance had a great experience with them and spent a great deal of time calling and asking questions, and he has nothing but rave reviews about them. Also, my ring was appraised for 20% more than he paid for it, which isn’t too shabby. I just sent it in to be resized, and I was so impressed with their customer service and speed in getting the ring back to me. I have nothing but positive things to say about them. Getting ready to place my wedding band order with them this week!
