I am absolutely thrilled that my now husband chose a deep, dark blue sapphire for my ring.  It also doesn't hurt that he totally took all those pictures I snuck under his nose seriously, and chose an antique style setting.  I didn't get my 'engagement ring' until the day before our wedding, since I proposed to him, so even though we just got married I am totally still showing this thing off!

thank you ladies!!  i'm getting a lot more love on here than in real life.  seems like people's brains trip over themselves when they see a non-diamond engagement ring.  i love how the women at my work all came in and grabbed my hand today only to have this look of deep concentration on their face.  the most common response: "that's so...interesting."  i guess they prefer their cloudy, yellowed diamonds to my clear sapphire.  oh well. 

the band did come with the ring, the cut work matches on both.  i will post a pic with it on my finger.

Your ring is beautiful!!  And your weding band is gorgeous too.  I love non-diamond e-rings.  My FI gave me a sapphire e-ring.  The people that know me say it suits me, but the ones that don't seem concerned that I'm being cheated out of a diamond.  I love that it's just a little bit different.
