Hey great! I think I remember this conversation. Any pics on how it turned out?
Angel-
I'll snap off a few tonight. I love it so much! I included silly emails from when we first started dating, and a story of how we met, and pictures from important moments over the last 5 years (and some from not so important moments too), the proposal story and even the recipe from the dessert my husband made to propose over.
What I love most about it, is maybe when I'm super old and have forgetten some of the little things, the stories will be right there in the book. Combined with our guest signatures who have been very active in our lives. Or even when we have grandkids and they can see how we met, etc.
This reminds me of the Bridal Chimes book I read at my guy's grandparent's house. It had all of this and in the middle was her guest book. I got to read how they met, fell in love, how he proposed and even see their guest list....I wasn't able to meet her because she passed away before I started dating her grandson, so in a way, I get to have some connection.
Argh! I'm sooooo pissed they just now offered this. I ordered my softcover Blurb boudoir photo book last week, because I despise the dustcovers that come with their other hardcovers. It comes this week. I might consider it a "proof" book, and go ahead and spend the extra to order it as the new hardcover. That's what I really want for this.
I made a guest book on Blurb but have yet to order it, as I was curious about the texture of the pages and how they are for writing. Did you find them to be too slick? Thanks for your advice! Robin :-)
no- it wasn't too slick to right on- I was worried about that to.
We used the fine sharpies and there were NO Smudges. The pages are a tad on the thin side - is my only negative, although there was virtually no bleed through from using the sharpies.
Overall I was delighted with the book, the guests loved it, and now I have a nice heirloom :)
Thanks so much for your advice :-) I ended up ordering my book last night and can't wait to get it.
Can someone clarify for me, is this a photobook(like you can make from MyPublisher) that brides are using in lieu of a traditional guest book?

Hey Bees!
I wanted to pass along something that I SOOOO wish was available just a few short months ago when I made my Blurb guest book.
They have added the option to do a printed hardcover. I got the idea to do a blurb guest book from fellow bees, and our guest book tells the story of how we met and our life up until the wedding. I provided lots of blank pages for guests to sign. Everyone loved it so much. And it was super sweet to include them in the story of our "history". Mine has the dust jacket that was offered, and while I love my book to pieces- the dust jacket is already showing some signs of being well loved (with some crinkles and spots).
Just wanted to pass the new option along to anyone else thinking about creating a guest book or any sort of album.
