So a thought just occured to me…
You know how its frowned upon if a guest wears white to a wedding? Well, now that wedding dresses aren’t always white, is it frowned upon if you wear a blush colored dress and the bride is wearinf a blush wedding dress? I say this because I am going to a wedding in April, during the day, so I wanted a color that was light and springy…then I thought, crap, it would be really bad if the bride just so happened to wear a blush colored wedding dress. We are not close with the bride and groom to feel comfortable asking, “oh hey, what color is your dress” LoL

I wouldn’t worry about a blush dress. They’re becoming more trendy, but I think the vast majority of brides, especially ones that aren’t on Weddingbee, still stick with white or ivory.

@Daizy914: I think it would be okay, especially if it is short and has non bridal embellishments. I mean, it’s also always possible that the bride wears a floral sundress, but guests gotta wear something.

@Polygon: this is the dress i plan on wearing it looks more sparkly in the picture than it is IRL

Of course it is OK to wear a light pink dress as a guest.

I’m wearing a blush dress and if you wore that to my wedding, I’d tell you that you look lovely! I think it’s beautiful!

@Daizy914: I do not think that dress looks bridal at all. Go for it. Unless you know the bride will be wearing blush then whatever.

Where your dress. Unless the bride changes into to a hot reception dress in blush you will not be mistaken for the new Mrs.

@Daizy914: Pretty! That doesn’t look bridal at all to me!

There’s definitely no mistaking that dress for bridal! I say go for it!
I might avoid wearing a floor-length light blush gown, though!

I think if a bride is non-traditional enough to wear a blush coloured dress, they are very very likely going to care about the tradition of the bride being the only one in white (or whatever colour). I wouldn’t worry about it at all.

Oh I think that dress will be fine too.
