Strawberryshmoo:  For starters: your dress is gorgeous and I love the straps! Perfection!

How formal is your wedding? I think that would look stunning with a chapel length veil that picks up the lace details, but I don’t know how formal you want to be!

Is that an ivory lace overlay? If so, I would say an ivory fingertip or longer with a beaded edge.

I would wear a catherderal length, to go past the tulle on the dress.

Strawberryshmoo:  In that case, I LOVE the idea of a birdcage. I wouldn’t do a long veil with an informal wedding. I like the idea of a birdcage, but instead of the netting with lots of “gaps,” I would do one with tulle that better matches the tulle in your dress like this:

With it being more casual, I think a blush or ivory flower would look great!

You look beautiful! I would either go for a very sheet cathedral length veil or no veil at all but use an art-deco statement hair piece.

I made my daughters veil.  It was one layer of ivory tulle covered by one layer of blush tulle.  It was long like cathedral but did not go past the bottom of her skirt.  It blended in.   About 2 yds each color for $10.

Thanks.  It was pretty simple.  To me the hardest part was getting the tulle cut straight.  After that, I laid the blush on top of the ivory and sewed them together with a straight basting stitch so that i could gather it small enough to fit on the plastic hair comb.  Its also tricky to figure out which side to sew on the comb.  Remember that the comb goes into your hair a certain way with the curve matching the curve of your head,  I wanted the tulle sewn on the inside and then go over the top of the comb so you couldn’t see my stitching.  It was all sewn by hand so if you make a mistake just take it apart and start over. I used two yards of each color tulle that was 54″ wide.

I’m sure you can do it.  Good luck!  Love your dress!

Strawberryshmoo:  Beautiful dress!

I’m going with a blush sash… I love pink too!! Since I’m also doing a simpler wedding (it’s in a beautiful little hotel in my city that has a patio with a pergola <3 ) I’m not wearing a veil but a chiffon flower. Since you’re also going for a small wedding, that would be my advice.

If you want to you can look for flowers with blush accents that would bring out your dress’ color!
