So apparently Aqua to my future Mister means Baby Blue, lol. I’m making my Bridesmaids Dresses and they will be Aqua base solid and print dresses. My Mister has based the Groomsmens outfits around some adidas he found. They just came in and are powder blue. So now I can either stay on course and make my Girl’s dresses as planned despite the obvious shade difference. I did some quick photoshopping to help visualize all this. The top dresses are the exact prints and colors for my Girl’s. The one powder blue maid is a Groomsgal. The scandelous shoes also make an apperance in the pic.
So what to do? I can buy some powder blue fabric to make the dresses out of it, but it will put me in a serious time and money crunch. Or does the whole thing look good anyway since it is a crazy mix of prints sneakers and so on?

I know I can tell him to do other shoes, but his heart is really set on them:)

Could you maybe just re-do the solid aqua dresses? The floral print looks like it could mix a little easier, and if you went with new fabric for the solid color dresses that matches the shoes more, that might tie it all together. And if it doesn’t look too odd, maybe the sash on the aqua swirl print could be in the baby blue?
I hope this helps!

I think you can keep the white print dress but I’d choose another color for the solid aqua and the aqua and white print dress.

I think that it’s fine! You can do the two shades of blue – I’ve seen wedding where they use various shades of the same color!

I like the multi color print dress with the baby blue but the aqua does look off.

I think you could keep the dress with the whiteish cream background and multi-colored florals. But the solid aqua and the aqua and white/cream look really off with the baby blue.

@missbrache: i have the same problem! lol
it was my intention to use aqua….i got aqua waistcoats for the groomsmen but i got two tones of material for the bridesmaids that ended up looking powder blue when combined
and generally for my whole wedding everything is different shades of blue. At first i was panicking but now i couldnt be bothered
