I’m just starting to look at bridesmaid dresses and it is so overwhelming! I have 6 BMs and 4 of them are flying across the country for our wedding, so I don’t want to choose a really expensive dress. I would like something that comes in a deep eggplant purple and also a lighter shade of purple so that I can put my maid and matron of honor in the lighter color and the other four in the dark one. What are some good designer websites to check out in the $200 and under category? I don’t even know where to start looking!!

im in the same situation. my sister and 3 neices are half of my wedding party and they live in TX and me in NC. my wedding is very lowkey but still nice so im having them all pick a tea length dress in one of my wedding colors (blush/light pink, taupe, or chocolate). im not really picky so if it doesn’t match just right im not going to worry about it. i found my sister’s (MOH) dress at belks on sale for $21! i shipped it to her and since she sews will take it up in the pits a little bit.

If none of them are plus size, you might look at the jcrew site.

Take a look at the Watters or WToo lines too – you can find them in a lot of bridal salons across the country and then order them from NetBrides. They’re much cheaper on NetBrides since they don’t have a retail store, just an online business, and then you can have them shipped individually to each of the girls. I got my WToo dresses there for $150 each including shipping.
