Yesterday I took my 6 girls for dresses. I originally wanted all the girls to be in a different dress by the same designer in the same color. I want all the girls to wear something that reflects them.

When we go to the store, we waited for 15 minutes before anyone told us what to do (they were really busy but we had an appointment). Someone who was in the middle of something said to pickup dresses and start trying them on. That turned into a disaster b/c I had no idea if my color (Olive Green) came in those designers. Then someone finally started helping and we set up a plan. I started with B2, I went through their book and wrote down all the style no's of the dresses in my color. There were about 15 or so. They only had 2 in the store, but said they could order the others since they have access to the designer. The girls all liked the 2 that were in the store, and we ended up with 3 in one dress and 3 in the 2nd dress.

I wanted to look at another designer with more options in the store, but the woman backed me into a corner and pushed the sale b/c they were busy. I was so overwhelmed that I said it was ok. Now I am totally sure I don't want this.

Good thing is, one BM did not make the deposit, so they aren't going to order them until she does. I went on the B2 website this am, and wrote down all the style no's again. All the girls looked at them, and picked dresses they like better (amazing!)

BUT. I have to call the store and see if they'll switch out the style no's for the girls, so they can all get a new dress. We're still going with the same designer, some of the girls paid in full, some of them only did $100 deposit, and one BM didn't pay anything yet.

The order is not in yet, PLEASE, does anyone know if they will switch this for me? I'm thinking since we're going with the same designer, and that since they didn't put the order in yet that they can switch it. But on the bottom of our receipts, it does say ALL SALES FINAL, NONREFUNDALE, etc.

WILL THIS WORK IM HAVING A BREAKDOWN. The stupid lady pushed me into a corner and talked me out of looking at a different designer and now I'm very unhappy. Please tell me I didn't make a HUGE mistake by giving in to her..

They should definately change the dress style considering the fact that it wont cost them anything if they don't, get tough and ask to speak to a manager and tell them that you felt like you were railroaded into making a decision.

I agree with simpleandchic. I also suggest going in and speaking to the manager in person as you can (IMO) get points across better than over the phone. Let us know what happens!

I don't think any contract is valid until 3 days after it is signed, not including weekends.  I think you can cancel any contract for those three days.  Maybe someone knows if this is true in your state.

I really don't know if they will do this. It might depend on whether they have sent the order to the manufacturer already. Maybe if you mention that you felt overwhelmed and under pressure due to how busy it was they would be helpful?

Since they haven't placed the order yet, I don't see why this would be a problem.  I would just call them and say that while you're waiting until the last BM puts down her deposit, you need to make a couple of changes to the style numbers.  Don't approach it as if they're doing you some huge favor-- this is a really simple switch if they haven't placed any orders.

If they were that busy I highly doubt they have started the paperwork end of the sale. I agree that you should calmly say that you want to make some changes to the order. If the saleswomen refuses than you can ask to speak to the manager. If that doesn't work you can always as a last resort have all your BM's put a stop pay on the checks/cards. Not the easy way but at least you won't be stuck with dresses you all hate.
