Okay bees, I’m on a budget. I want to pay for my bridesmaid dresses – preferrably $100 or less. Which do you think looks best with my dress? My colors are aqua, pink, and coral.
My dress –
So, which Bridesmaid or Best Man dress?
Dress 1 – from Target for $69.99
Or dress # 2 – Davids Bridal for $99.99
Or, should I keep looking? If you think I should keep looking, do you have any other suggestions?

I like the aqua from Target, I think it’s elegant!

I like the aqua as well.
I think the aqua will look a little more bright/fun, and the pale pink will look a little more romantic/serene. It sort of depends what overall feel you’re going for.
For #2 – Is the necklace/neckline part of the dress or is it strapless?

@NAvery: Its actually part of the dress. Its pearls and rhinestones. The dress is part of the DB’s Prom Dress line… and Im afraid that it looks exactly like that – a prom dress.
Here is what the neckline looks like in a crappy iPhone photo… it does look better in person though. I’m afraid it will continue to look bad in photos… EEEE idk what to do!

Heres a picture that another Bee uploaded awhile back… She added straps to the dress. Doesnt look so bad here.

Check out donna-morgan.com thats where i got my bridesmaid dresses they were on sale so they were 100 plus 20% off with the code WELCOME20. They are both alright i voted for the one from target though.

Dress #2 isn’t so good for me. I’m very petite (which means I’m smaller around the ribcage) and strapless dresses don’t always stay up well when they’re like this. Also I have a large bust which makes the dress fall down even more. I love strapless dresses, but not #2.

@lovelynners: Will do, thanks! And thats kind of how I feel about mine… theyre just okay.

@BuffaloDots: I didnt really think about that… Two of my bridesmaids are really petite, too… Hmm…

I really like the pink. I think the material is more forgiving for different shapes and sizes, and it is a dress that I would wear after the wedding as well.
I saw a PP comment about not working on petite brides but I have a dress that is a very similar style in my closet and it looks great on me. I only have a medium bust though and can’t comment in that regard.
I love what the other bride did by adding straps in your example posted.

Have you girls tried on the dresses?

As long as you don’t put your girls in dresses with the same details as you gown or a completely inappropriate material for the wedding style, the you really don’t have to try to ‘match’ your gown.Obviously you wouldn’t put your girls in cotton or polyester if you are having anything but a casual wedding, and vice versa.

I like the pink because the fabric is nice and the attached necklace makes it so the girls dont have to worry about buying jewelry!

The pink one will be very flattering on everyone and it will look great in your pictures! I say leave the aquamarine to the decor!
