What about choosing a few major Bridesmaid or Best Man designers and have the girls go to local stores to try the dresses on, then order all 3 dresses from the store near you.

What if you and your Bridesmaid or Best Man that lives in town go look for some styles from Bridesmaid or Best Man manufacturers and find 5 or 6 you like in colors that work.  Then ask your other BMs to look at the dresses online or go try them on at a bridal salon near them and let you know which ones they like! Then you know you have the colors and style you had in mind, but your BMs still each get to pick a dress they like and that flatters them.
