OK, I had this same exact problem with one of my bridesmaid dresses, but with a lot more time left.
Ask your tailor / seamstress if they can alter it to have a corset (tie-up) back instead of a zipper. That's what we did, and it looks great.
Good luck!
I had this problem with a bridesmaid dress I wore last summer. It fit perfectly in the waist but was just too small in the chest. What we ended up doing (which isn't ideal but is a quick fix) is adding some fabric that matched the dress under one of the arms in a V shape. It didn't match perfectly, but since it was under my arm, no one ever saw it and it didn't show up in the pictures.
Thanks gals! I hope one of those solutions will work out for me.
Wow, what a great website! So great to see people helping others. I hope one of those solutions work for you! Please keep us updated on whatever you decide to do!
Two weeks to go! You must be super excited!! =)
I have heard that your bridal salon should (?) be able to get fabric directly from the manufacturer, so that they can so one of these fixes (add a panel or make the dress a lace-up) using fabric that is an exact match. I would ask them and see what they say.

Hello bees :(
I'm 2 weeks out from my wedding and my BM dresses were originally ordered in October. They arrived at the beginning of this month and one of my BMs dress doesn't fit! It's missing 3 inches of fabric in the chest area so it won't zip up and it's too small to be alterable (I think). She hasn't gained weight (or at least, not that much) as the waist still fits. I'm at a loss right now as to what to do. The dresses are Melissa Sweet style MS106 in Fig. If you have any suggestions, I would love to hear them.
Thank you!
