@soonerbride: I am not requiring them to do anything. I gave them an option on whether or not they wanted to have their hair and makeup done and would have been fine with them choosing to do their own. However, they wanted to have it done professionally.
If you are wanting them to have a clutch to use for the wedding - I vote clutch.
If you are wanting them to have a clutch they'd re-use - then I vote money towards hair/makeup.
I've been a BM and I got the same type of gifts: necklace, earrings, and clutch. The clutch was something I'd never use in 'real life'. I used it for the wedding and then gave it away.
Personally, I would suggest making the last gift something that's NOT for your wedding.

I have already purchased this bracelet and these earrings for my bridesmaids:
What should I get them to go with these? I have about $25 each left to spend on them. Should I do a cute clutch bag, Bath & Body Works products, or put the $25 towards their hair or makeup (in the form of a gift certificate). Which would you prefer?
