I’ve actually never seen or heard of this being done but it sounds really cool! Why not?

I think that’s a bit odd, honestly. I could get on board with no flowers, a candle, wrist corsage, but a purse? Seems a bit awkward to me.

I think I would rather do a single flower or a peacocks feather…. b/c w/ a clutch, how do they look different from regular guests.

I have seen the MOB pruse that has a corsage on it….If I could upload a image I would show you.

I’m actually giving my bridesmaids clutches for one of their gifts. They match great and I haven’t decided yet if I’ll have them carry them down the aisle or not… but either way -I think it’s a great idea!

I can understand not wanting flowers because they die. But if they don’t hold something, it will be awkward for them, especially if any of them are remotely shy in front of strangers so they need something to hold. While I am all for unique, I can’t get really get into the clutch idea myself. Mainly because they would look like any one else on a red carpet and there isn’t anything “attractive” for lack of a better word about holding a clutch. They don’t need the contents of the clutch during the ceremony which makes it seem a bit out of place. Are silk flowers an option? Parasols or something of that nature?

I’ve been thinking about wrist corsages and getting my BMs a cute clutch to carry. I’m not sure how they are going to go for it yet! I think it would be lovely… I wish we could find some pictures!

i think it’s a great idea!! i don’t know about anyone else, but i have yet to see a bm not carrying a purse to a wedding. now, instead of having to worry about putting it somewhere while they walk down the aisle, they can carry it with them! i don’t know why more people don’t do it. i think it’s more strange to have someone carry random flowers.

i’ve seriously been thinking of alternatives to flowers. like a clay bouquet for myself. i love flowers…don’t get me wrong. i think they’re absolutley gorgeous!! but, in bouquets, they’re dead. i don’t think i really want death associated with my wedding.

I think it could look pretty, but would your BM’s really use the clutch again? I never have and probably never will use a clutch. They hold so little and I just find it annoying having to carry it in my hand everywhere. But if you think it’s something they’d really use again then go for it! Here are a few pictures I found:
