We’re considering doing a *lightly* board game themed wedding. Something a little bit Euro and a little bit Ameritrash ;), but nothing too crazy.
We already found some SUPER CUTE Bride and Groom meeples and were thinking of also getting some meeples in our wedding colors (blue, purple, pink, cream) to decorate the tables.
Do you guys have any ideas? We also would like to incorporate theatre/musical theatre (how we met!) in the theme.
Feel free to share even if you’re not big into board games! 😀

Does anyone ever actually look at the themes board?

RenoSweeney24: There are musical theatre themed Board games, like High School Musical, Be a Broadway Star etc. Depending on the size of your wedding, if you find enough games in the theme, you could use them for table names and decor.
Have you looked on Offbeat bride for ideas?

We’re gamers (although not incorporating that into the wedding). What about game themed save-the-dates? If you google there are a bunch of cute ones!

julies1949: No, in fact, I’ve never heard of it. What is it?
We decided to go with just board games (mostly). We’ve come up with a couple ideas so far.
For our invitations we are going with a 54 piece puzzle of a customized Ticket to Ride map.
Regular Ticket to Ride map for reference.
And Arkham Horror character cards (personal for each person we’re sending them to- small wedding) for our save the dates
MrsTywinLannister: Yeah! So we’re thinking personalized arkham horror character cards made with strange eons and then professionally printed. 🙂

RenoSweeney24: It’s a website for those who aren’t having a “Style Me Pretty” wedding

julies1949: Oh okay neat! Thanks 🙂
It’ll still be pretty though 😉

Found your thread while searching for some ideas…. how’d your board game theme work out? Do you have any photos of what you did?
We’re giving out Bicycle Playing cards as favors.
Groomsmen are getting a copy of Wedding themed Love Letter as part of their gifts.
I was trying to think of a few more ways to incoropate our love of games….
