- Wedding: September 2013
So I’m in the extremely early stages of planning, but my Fiance and I have already decided that a game themed wedding would be perfect for us. We’re known for our love of boardgames. We even met while playing a game of Bullsh*t (the card game played in How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days).
We’re not going too over the top with it. We’re thinking that centerpieces will have a nod to some of our faves with some vintage pieces in natural wood (like scrabble letters and unpainted wooden Monopoly houses, etc).
So this is an idea I came up with when I saw someone post (probably here on weddingbee, but now I can’t remember) that they had facts about themselves printed on the cocktail napkins so their guests could learn more about them as a couple.
What would you think if the bride and groom made it more of a game? What if the napkins had multiple choice questions that tested how much you knew about the couple? And then each napkin could have a QR code you could scan that would show you the answer? Maybe we could have the answers printed on the back, but I haven’t found any printers online that print on napkins front and back.
Is this way over the top? Too much? I’d love your opinion before I propose the idea to my Fiance, because I know that he’d LOVE it, but I don’t want to get his expectations up if guests will think it’s tacky, or if you think it would be WAY too complicated.
I’d love to hear any suggestions, alternatives, opinions about this! Thanks bees!
