I have heard that you should avoid too much shimmer because it will look funny in your photos. I think a little bit of "glow" is nice (ala Miss Rainbow's post about countouring and higlighting) but actual glitter could perhaps tip the scales into the "goin' to the club" vibe.
I don't know any specifics but a friend of mine wore some of her "fairy dust" to her wedding. She looked amazing and it photographed really well. It was a shimmer more than a glitter effect but against her skin tone it was fabulous. I think it really depends on the person. I'd try to experiment with it if you can beforehand and try to get some photos of you taken just to see how it comes out :)
Yeah - i think that is what I mean. I 'm not trying to look like the Fourth of July or a night club-just a little dusty of sparkle. A hint. Like the lotions that have a hint of smimmer or whatever in them.
Maybe you could try this shimmer powder?

if you are weraring frangrance many of the lotions have shimmer or even a shimmer powder try that... that way u can apply the shimmer along with your fragrance... two birds one stone
I think B&BW sells some body shimmer powder. I will say use it sparingly b/c a little goes a long way...especially in the summer/daytime. When you do your trial runs...put it on and take some pictures in bright light as well as outside so that you can get a good idea of how it will look on you.
If you're going to go that route, I would go more shimmer than glitter =) I used Marc Jacobs' Daisy Luminous lotion, it's very subtle and smells soo lovely!
I think that a luminescent (sp?!) bronzer would provide the same type of shimmer as well... definitely ask your makeup artist or the person that you purchase makeup from.

Has anyone ever thought of adding a little body glitter to themselves on their wedding day. I saw a blog where the bride had use some makeup body glitter or something like that -to give herself a little added sparkle. Does anyone know a make-up line that would carry something like that? Or have you used anything like that? Thanks
