I get painful heartburn when I wear higher cut spanx that’s tight. It’s so tight around my ribcage, I know it’s just uncomfortable to stuff myself. That being said, I don’t use it as a weight loss method, I just noticed that once, i pigged out for lunch and had SERIOUS heartburn, did some googling, and found out this is common with very tight body shapewear.

It’s way unpleasant though. I really don’t advise it. It was the worst heartburn of my life and I felt like a total idiot

In the infomercial it brought the girl a size or two down from what she was by sucking in her stomach

I just got one, I have a distributor as a friend and she gave it to me for my wedding gift and they definitaly do hold you in.  I am having my dress made and my seamstress had to totally take the dress in a ton when I got fit with that thing on.  I do not plan on wearing it as a weight loss method, but for the big day, the suffering will be worth it, especially when I see the pics.

I have a question! I want to order something like this– I already bought (and hate) a corset from Herroom.com- which does nothing to give me shape or cleavage. At this point i just want to minimize my waist as much as possible- which of the ones on the body magic website are appropriate for under a strapless wedding dress? And how do I know what size I am? I wear a 36b bra, is that indicative of the size?

Yes the body magic does work great!!!! I never had heard of it until I saw this post and had to buy one. Unfortunately it didnt fit, was a little too tight. I have the one I originally purchased for sale under “other products” in the classifieds if anyone is interested, its a size 40. I bought a bigger size and it fits great!!!! Makes me look so much better in my dress.
