some self tanners are a little too glittery for me, like loreals. i've heard good things about aveeno and jergens natural glow express, but i can't vouch for either.
Try Palmers Cocoa Butter Body Gloss! It's excellent stuff, it's not shimmery but rather illuminating and gives your skin a wonderful glow without the glitter! I use it for special occassions and love it! It's quite cheap too! Just Google it and loads of sites come up selling it!
Lotions can get kind of messy. Your hands will be covered in more glitter than the rest of you! I would try a highlighting powder so that way you can control where the shimmer goes. Pop a little on your cheekbones and your browbones and then use a big fluffy brush to dust your shoulders, your collarbone, and your decollete. Voila! A glowing bride. It'll look amazing in photographs.
Here are a couple options:

You can also use a nude colored, pearlescent eyeshadow from the drugstore. But be sure to make sure it's not too sparkly though. A good option to check out might be Maybelline Expert Wear Eyeshadow Single in Champagne Fizz.

Hi all! I have very fair skin and i am not planning on tanning for my wedding next month. I read in a wedding book that a slightly shimmery lotion might be good to refract some light and make my skin look more luminous. In the past, when I have tried these, the look is more 12 year old at a slumber party or stripper, than beautiful bride. I would like to avoid that. Can any of you recommend a product? What do you think?
