I just need to post this somewhere that my workout buddy and Fiance won’t see to get this off my chest. Please go ahead and disregard this.
Yesterday my friend stepped on the scale. Until she weights herself and let me see the number, I thought we weighed about the same. We are the same size, have almost identical fat rolls (ew) and so on. She weighs almost 50lbs less than I do. FIFTY. Where on earth am I hiding that? Am I denser? My chest is much bigger, but not 50lbs worth!
We have been working out now for 3 weeks, busting our asses to the point where we are always sore. She’s lost a few pounds. I may or may not have lost 2 ounces. Two ounces is more of a fluctuation than a sure thing.
I have posted in the past about my inability to lose weight, so I knew this was coming*. Still, when you bust your ass and see no change except better stamina, it’s disheartening. I am happy to have a workout buddy, it’s keeping my heartrate up and getting me off of the counch. But every time I do this, I hope to see some kind of change. A few years back I went to the gym religiously and was constantly sore. The only change I saw? After about 2 months my knee looked slightly fitter. MY KNEE. It gets to you…
*Quick recap: I eat right, don’t drink soda or eat fast food, count calories and keep healthy. My workout routine is varied enough to have results. Yes, I have had my hormones checked. I have been to doctors, my body is essentially in permanent starvation mode, so unless I get outside health like lipo or surgery, I’m pretty much doomed to fat-dom.
