emilyluwest:  Etsy is great if you want truly vintage and not vintage style but a new dress. Just search for vintage wedding dress and hundreds pop up in a very reasonable price range (less than $500).

emilyluwest:  The ones I love are actually from the 1950s, etc. and not custom made so I can’t help with that. Sorry! I know many other bees have gone the custom dress route and should be able to help. 🙂 Good luck!

I am going the bohemian route as well 🙂

This site does boho wedding gowns: http://daughtersofsimone.com/shop/tatum/#!prettyPhoto

They also say they can do XXL custom. I would also search Etsy. Just double check the shop policies + feedback for each shop, as they vary by seller. I have had so many positive Etsy experiences. My FI got my ering there. Lots of hidden gems on that site, but you have to spend time looking (which to me is part of the fun….I love the hunt!). Best wishes to you!

Jane Austen! What fun! Maybe Tadashi Shoji? They go up to a size 18-20, I believe? http://www.tadashishoji.com/3k1224l-fethr-illusion-lace-3-4-sleeve-gown   And this one isn’t white but it just seems so Jane Austen to me http://www.tadashishoji.com/7r1016l-gold-beaded-tulle-gown

Have you checked out Sydney’s Closet? They seem to have some more bohemian options.  http://www.sydneyscloset.com/sydneys-closet/5036/   David’s Bridal is also an option; the empire waist on this seems very Regency. http://www.davidsbridal.com/Product_Spaghetti-Strap-Empire-Waist-All-Over-Lace-Gown-9ECX9391_Bridal-Gowns-Shop-By-Size-Plus-Sizes

I had my vintage/ antique lace dress made by Tracey Coyle. (Etsy store “Sisters Rose and Ruby” and Facebook “VintageKitty” ) She does plus sizes and will work within a budget. Her workmanship is impeccable- and I have purchased lots of different garments from her over the last  several years. Although I consider mine “bohemian” it’s not really a Jane Austin style- but she does lots of dresses with empire waists that would probably work for that type venue.
