Might be a little late but I love the Linen Building. Plus there's a great hotel (The Modern) across the street! Would be very easy for your guests. Check out their website - they have vendor reccomendations.
I looked at the Linen Building for my reception but it was out of my budget for everything I wanted. Plus, I wasn't really feeling the gold and black feathers around the curtains...
I am having my reception at the Oxford Suites in Boise. The ballroom is beautiful and they include so much for the price of catering and the room. I'm not sure what you want for your wedding but I would definetly recommend them! I booked a block of rooms for out of town guests in the hotel and their suites are beautiful!
Hi! We held both our ceremony and reception at the Boise Depot. The Platt gardens were GORGEOUS for our ceremony (and free, FREE) and the grand hall for the depot was beautiful and unique. Our food was catered through Kanaack Attack and it was AMAZING!!! Oh, and the price? $13/person. This included two drinks(lemonade, iced tea, etc.) two entrees, two sides, a salad AND a cheesecake bar. If you are looking for a photographer... Scott Urban. ALL day coverage! We paid 1600 for an engagement session, all day wedding day coverage (rehearsal too if wanted), two photographers (him and his lovely wife), coffee table book, etc. The photos were beautiful and artistic. www.scotturban.com
I love our photographer - John Harrell of Shoeless Johnny Photography. We're one of the couples on his site - www.sjpweddings.com. We're getting hitched next July, but our engagement pics came out WONDERFULLY!
i'm so happy there is finally another idaho bride!! close to boise! yay for idaho :)
Hi Ladies! We've selected all of our vendors now, but I think a Day of Coordinator would be a good idea. Has anyone used a DOC in Boise? Do you think DOCs are worth it?
Awwww, I wish I was an Idaho bride. We were suppose to move to Meridian last summer but my FI lost his job and we had to stay put for the time being. I will make it there someday. I love Boise!
@Mojito - We are using Elizabeth Obregon (found her through a friend). Her price was so reasonable, she is so personable and detail-oriented, AND even though we hired her for DOC, she has been helping with everything since we connected. :) Contact her at elizabethaobregon@gmail.com - can't recommend her more highly!
@Mojito: Hiring a day of coordinator is one of the best gifts you can give yourself and your mother. Most DOC go beyond the day of to be certain they know your tastes and to be sure everything flows smoothly. Be careful to choose someone who has been around awhile and knows what they are doing. You don't want to be their first, and perhaps only, client.

We're getting married in Boise in June 2010. Does anyone have any vendor recommendations?
