I hear you. I’m not a big fan of boleros either. How about a shrug? LOVE THEM!

This is the bolero I bought off Etsy. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it. She was a pleasure to work with (she added lining in mine) and the quality is wonderful. I’m so excited to wear it! There are lots of people who make them on Etsy so have a peek around you could find one in just about any price point. Who says it has to be lace or crocheted or whatever?! Mine matches my shoes!

Can you go in and try on the matching ones to see what they look like on you? That is what I would do.

This is the link that has my gown and my bolero in it.

Just purchased my bolero!!!

I went the matchy route. Your gown would look good with either lace or satin. If you go with the lace though, the lace should match your gown and if you go with the satin, the satin should match your gown.

Okay, me again. Something like this (made out of the same satin as your dress instead of fur, and with or without the bow). If DB won’t/can’t make it, I’m sure a seamstress who specializes in bridal fashions could do it for you inexpensively. I love this look – very glamorous and not a bolero Wink

If its a winter/ fall wedding go for it! I like lace bolero’s and jackets. I think they can be beautiful depending on your gown 🙂

I love boleros! In fact, I had three ready for my June 12 wedding! Nuts, I know, but I went crazy over them; I think they give the gown such a polished/finished look.  Gorgeous! Two I had made while I was in Europe in March — one satin and the other one organza (both white) and the third, which is the one I wore, is white alencon lace.  I gotta get pix up of these three, but I’d be willing to let one go for $70 plus shipping (though that wouldn’t have been my asking price – hehe).  They’re mediums.. lighly padded shoulders, set in sleeves, which I love, two have long sleeves; the lace has three-quarter.  Let me know.  pm me
