Honestly? I like the look of it as is, on you! I think that's what makes the dress so unique and stunning.
Do you plan on selling the dress? If so, then I'd look online for a bolero. So the matching lace jacket would still be intact for a potential buyer.
I really like it as-is though. Sorry, I am probably no help at all!
I also love it the way it is. For me though, I would probably add a fuller crinoline.
You look so beautiful and classic, and your waist looks so tiny... I wouldn't change a thing. You will be an absolute vision!
i. LOVE. that. DRESS. you look stunning in it. im NOT kidding. seriously its a Grace Kelly dress....
seriously if i was getting married in a ballgown i might have to tackle you for it! lol
i would leave it JUST LIKE IT IS....
I don't love the look, the dress itself is gorgeous, the lace thingy is really nice but I just am not loving the look on you together. Maybe if it was more like a jacket than a pullover? Not sure.
The long sleeve is gorgeous and you totally pull it off. So classic. Go for it!
I basically just signed up so I could comment on your post. I'm brand spanking new here.
Anyway, that's also the gown I'm wearing for my wedding (don't you just LOVE it?!!!) and originally, I hated the jacket and didn't plan on wearing it.
I had my first fitting today and my seamstress thought I may like the jacket more if we cut the sleeves. Since I wasn't planning on wearing it I told her to have at it and she cut the sleeves so they were the same length as the jacket itself- about two or so inches above my elbows.
You wouldn't think so, but it made a HUGE difference in the overall look and I'm now totally in love with the jacket too. Try doing that before going all the way up to cap sleeves. You may like it!
Oh, and you also have awesome taste in wedding gowns

I'm pretty sure by now, everyone knows I'm probably switching dresses, and getting my original love, since 2007, Justin Alexander 9552. The dress comes with a long sleeve lace jacket... and as you will see in the images below, on me, it doesn't have the same effect as the model.
I'm hoping I can maybe alter the jack in some way... here's my thoughts....
1) Make it a very small cap sleeve, still cover the bodice (which will hide any potential cleavage for the church) and keep a general feel the same.
2) Alter it to be more bolero like. Like the Paloma Blanca on the very bottom. (would this look silly with buttons down the back?)
3) Other? I'm open to suggestions. I really do want to cover my shoulders for the ceremony. The 10 sample covers my cleavage well, will the 6 (which I'm on the cusp of 8 in bust) not cover as well?
Also, do you think it will be more or less to do this than just getting a bolero online... I like that the lace would match...
