For those Bees who discussed how we spend Bonfire Night (5th November) in England, I thought I’d update you with a picture of what I was doing on Tuesday! This is Lewes. Almost certainly the Bonfire Capital of the UK.

So what is bon fire night? Because I love bon fires and i’m pretty sure I’m jealous that we don’t do this!

Bonfire Night is the 5th November. In short, we celebrate the Discovery of the Gunpowder Plot in 1605 and while the celebrations are relatively modest in most parts of the UK, where I live it is a more important day than Christmas to many of us! There’s lots more to why we celebrate but probably easier to provide you with a link than try and summarise a long story!
