Actually, I just tried this dress on this past weekend.  I just stumbled upon this post when I was searching for the style.  Bonny has a neat program called “Borrow a Bonny” where a retailer can call them and borrow the dress for a short time for a fee, and they will try to send it in your size and style.  My mom wanted to see me in this dress.  So she called a boutique that sells Bonny, paid $75 to have it shipped in my size for me to try it on.  If I purchase within 30 days, the money is applied to the dress.

Truth be told, I DID NOT like the dress in the photos.  I thought it was OK but not for me at all.  I was so mad my mom paid to have it shipped in, and when I saw it on the hanger I even said “I”m not going to like this.”  However, the moment I slipped into it and then stepped out to the mirrors, I felt gorgeous.  My mom cried, and it was beautiful.  I was ready to buy it that day, but I had an appointment Monday night and wanted to see if anything compared – nothing did.  I tried 16 dresses on Monday night, and had been to 3 shops prior to trying the Bonny…so I felt like I saw a lot.

I will have the bow in the back removed because I don’t need anything else making my butt look bigger, but the dress was very beautiful in person.  I love it in ivory, and I will be purchasing it this week.

I’m considering the Borrow a Bonny program. Do you HAVE to return the dress they ship or can you purchase it on the spot? I’ve found website where I can order a Bonny dress and I’ve considered just purchasing the one I want because I’m afraid the local bridal shop is going to charge me a lot more and take a big commission.
