Yep, that’s right. I went through YEARS of thinking I was a 36 C, recently I went and was refit to a 34 D, no biggy really. But recently, I’m sitting here wondering how in the heck people get bras to fit perfectly with no giant wad of cleavage showing in every single bra they own. I’m just thinking, hey maybe I was born to forever have cleavage wadage. Then I look it up, and I may be getting to all this late (course I’m only 23) but, I had no idea cup sizes are pretty much all different. No A, B ,C ,D, DD, DDD, E…etc, cup is the same size! Now, I know if I actually thought about it (aka no boob or body size is really the same), it might have made sense, but here I was thinking you only went up in band size and up in cup size. Not up in cup, down in band, or vice versa.
So after looking up how to PROPERLY fit a bra, I found a great site if any ladies are interested and lacking in knowledge like I was, I went and decided to try the tips they gave on the site. When I was finally finished, I went from 34 D to 32 DDD. To say the least my husband (who generously offered to come and help lol) was pleased, but I am definitely shocked. The difference in the fit and comfort was absolutely astounding, and it made me wonder, how long have I been treating my breast so badly? Binding and squishing them?
That is, until I tried looking somewhere other than Victoria Secret for nice bras my size. Oh I found some. All at pretty much comparable prices to them and styles. But the problem lies in finding some CHEAP plain white (yet not completely terrible (look and fit wise)) bras to trade with the ones I bought for when I leave in a month. I like underwire, and support, but just because I have DDD’s does not mean I’m a size 40 around (not that there’s anything wrong with that, but it seems to be the average I’ve seen), and that I want as much coverage as possible, and still be cheap. So now, my boobs have become a menace. lol
Have any of you ladies ever had boob and or bra fit problems like this? Any suggestion on places to look for good, relatively cheap bras (already knocked out Target and Walmart)? Anyone else not actually know there own TRUE size?
