I know as a big person that my sitting and standing measurements are entirely different. For lack of a better term, my cargo shifts when I sit. I am having a corset back on my dress, and I plan to sit down , in the dress, before they get me all laced up, just so I know I am comfortable. It would be great if the corset back had a little elastic in it so it would give a little when you sit, although to my knowledge no one has invented this yet.
I have that problem as well. Its such a pain! Honestly its not bad at all, Im sure I wouldnt have thought twice about that, because you look perfect in your dress!
It doesn't happen in my dress, because it's higher-cut, but I know exactly what you're talking about. It sucks!
The sad thing is, i even had one of those suction-felina-longline-bra's on..! i am so peeved about this because a) i am going to have to sit down adn eat at the reception and b) during the ceremony (catholic) i am going to have to sit down for parts of it, and i do NOT want my boobs/chest fat staring at me!!!
@bridejan2012: Use hands weights as much as possible. Or get arm bands with weights in them, and use them while you clean etc. I do it and its helped greatly.
Also the "Shake Weight" is an amazing product, hurts like h*ll, but it works fast.
I don't have boob, side fat (my sample dress that I tried on was a bit larger than my actual size, so that could be why, so we will see when it comes in!), BUT I do have backfat :/
First of all, your dress is beautiful and it looks GREAT on you! The boob/chest fat push-up is my pet peeve too. My poor seamstress had to deal with me sitting at every appointment so we could avoid it. haha. Honestly, what worked best for me was no bra underneath. Sounds crazy, I know, but right now you've got the bra pushing you up so when you sit, it pushes you up even more. Take off the bra and your chest will hang a little lower and will not push up as far when you sit. I had cups sewn in the dress for some support, but I'm a DD and had no problems at all. Try it out!
@chrispygal: Thanks! I think I will try that out at my next fitting! I was actually thinking about that, but since I spent $80 buying that bra to begin with, I feel semi obligated to use it!
@peachbaby4008:Does it really work? I actually found the shake weight i got for christmas a few hours ago and was using it iwth the 6 min dvd it came with. lol. definitely hurts like hell!

I was going to suggest a differet bra/no bra option, too. It will depend on your dress and whether no bra will work, but chances are things are just being too well supported and are being pushed up too high.
Regardless, your dress looks amazing, and you look stunning in it - no one will notice the areas of your concern, but I know if I was concerned/uncomforatble, it would be written all over my face...
Did your little lace coat come with your dress, or did you have it made?
@bridejan2012: What worked for me was losing the bra. The dress was form fitting enough to not need a bra. If the material of the dress is thin you might want to use nipple pads. Sometimes called nipple covers or nipple pasties. They usually come in heart shapes or daisy shapes. The fit of the dress is also important tight but not too tight. Too tight can push in strange directions causing spillage.
I agree that no bra works best. I'm not "full figured" by standard terms but I am thick and as much as I try will never be toned. I get the "crease" at my chest. Wearing a less supportive bra worked for me I lost alot of weight so my girls are not perky and no bra would look super icky on me but one with less support offered the same effect without looking like I have an 80 year old chest.

Yesterday was my first dress fitting and it went quite well. Standing up, my dress looks good. A bit tight, but nothing a couple of pounds off cant fix... HOWEVER, the lady at the store told me to sit down in my dress so she can fix my hair really quick, and I noticed that my boobs looked really pushed up, and my shoulder / chest fat, was resting on top of my dress!!! I was thinking about taking a photo of it so I can explain it better here, but I just didnt have the courage to take a photo of this excess fat!
Does/did anyone else have this dilemma? If so, any tips? The wedding is in January so I have exactly 2 more months to go!
