Booked, thank goodness! It was actually booked in early June--I was getting nervous about even leaving it that late.
How amazing--Paris and Portugal! You're going to have such an amazing time--both such romantic places.
And ditto being more excited about the honeymoon--I can't wait to leave!
We are all booked as well. FI booked averything at the same time a few months ago. So excited for the honeymoon!!!
We are done planning and just counting down the days until we finally get to be honeymooners!!!
All booked and ready to go!!!!! :) We booked our final hotel last week when we found a great deal on hotwire!!! I cant wait for the honeymoon!!!!
I have no idea! =) FI is planning it as a surprise (Thannnnk you Miss Cardy!)
I can totally relate about being excited more to the honeymoon. I know I've been wedding-crazy for ages and yet I can't help but also plan for the honeymoon (most likely Singapore) which leads me to think that I might be more looking forward to it rather than the actual wedding. *grin*
By the way, if anyone is interested in Singapore, I wrote a short review on how this country can be enjoyed by a couple in my blog http://bridesandmore.blogspot.com/.
Ours has been booked for a couple months now. There are definitely days I am more excited about the honeymoon than the wedding!
We booked a few months ago. I wanted to take advantage of my frequent flyer miles and was afraid that the amount needed to get us to St. Lucia and back would rise. All we have left to do is arrange for our shuttle between Ladera and Sandals Regency.
I'm not an October bride, but i did just get back from our honeymoon in Portugal and just wanted to tell you, it is a wonderful country! we were there for two and a half weeks and just had a great time and stayed at some great villas and a castle.
so if you have any questions or need recommendations on places in portugal, let me know!
I booked our airfare at the end of June because I received a Southwest Voucher with an extra $120 on it. I am waiting for the perfect hotel offer to book the hotel. We are going to Las Vegas, which isn't really a big deal because we go every year, but I love it so much I didn't want to go anywhere else. We are hoping to stay at Mandalay Bay, but due to price, might end up staying at Excalibur instead.
I'm not an october bride but we just booked ours a couple weeks ago. PHEWWWWW.. atleast thats out of the way. Now on to finishing the wedding...
Phew! We just booked our flight last night! We're going on a cruise out of Fort Lauderdale, so it wasn't super important but I really wanted to be on the only direct flight and the prices hadn't changed in forever so we went ahead and booked it.
So...ladies tell me the groom normally deals with the honeymoon. Did any of you let your Groom deal with that? Did you go along with it? I couldn't...too much of a control freak. If I left it up to him, we'd be driving to the mountains or something last minute b/c he would have put everything off till the very last minute Mr. Procrastination!!!! LOL!
@jillocb: my FI took care of the whole honeymoon because I did NOT want another thing to plan, lol. I'm actually very proud of myself that I let him handle it (besides some nagging emails, lol) because I am usually super Type A and controlling. BUt it was nice not to worry about it--although he didn't book it til June; if it had been me, I would have booked it in like January! But it's all taken care of, which is what matters.
@ladyb072010: My MOH is flying in from Singapore for the wedding. I've never been there before though, loved to go!
My honeymoon is booked, and it'll be paid off next month. (Well, er, charged to a credit card!) We still need to work on a rental car though. We're not doing anything too exotic. Driving to Florida, but I've never been there, so I'm happy!
@Ms. Purple: Oh! Thanks for letting me know - I might send you a PM! What part(s) of the country did you visit? We are spending a couple days in Lisbon and then heading north.
We booked ours back in February! We're going to St. Lucia and I'm glad we booked then... our flight times aren't available and so much more expensive now!
Can NOT wait for the honeymoon :)
ENJOY BEES!!!!
@hergreenapples: we stayed in Lisbon, Porto, Obidos, Peniche, a country villa by Amarante and another villa by Mafra called Aldeia de mata Pequena. We had a car so we visited Sintra and Regua also.
Let me know if you want more details. We absolutely loved Portugal and all the places we stayed at! :-)
We booked last week.. WOOHOO!!!
19days.
France, Italy, Spain AND Aruba!!! lol I cannot wait!!!!!!!!!!!
We are all booked for Hawaii!!! We are doing 2 nights in San Fran , 5 Nights in Kuaui, 5 nights in Maui and 2 nights in LA. I can't wait for the day to come!!
We have the cruise and the flight there booked. Gotta book a hotel room for the night before the cruise, and then the flights home.
@ Miss Lovely -- that sounds amazing! Are you staying at all inclusive resorts and how did you go about booking that?
We booked in July after LOTS of research. We used Cheap Caribbean and we're going to Playa Del Carmen for 7 days/6 nights at a great price!
@ladyb072010:& @October4040: I was in Singapore just over a year ago. It's truly an AMAZING country! Although, as for a honeymoon destination, I'd prefer to spend more time on Sentosa Island. :-)
I've traveled a lot, and FI hasn't barely at all. We're doing a beach honeymoon to Cancun where we were gifted a Timeshare week. We booked it a few weeks ago... AirTran was having an AWESOME sale and we got our flights out of VA to Cancun for under $700rt for the two of us!
We decided that something "away from it all" that would force us to enjoy and relax would be better then going somewhere where I would want to sight see or show everything to FI.
We booked ours mid-July. We're going to Hawaii and I am almost more excited for the honeymoon than the wedding!
my honeymoon will be in spring of 2011 (3 weeks across Europe), but we decided to do a mini moon right after the wedding. 4 nights in an all inclusive resort in Riveira Maya Mexico! vive tequila baby!
FI just booked our honeymoon last week for this Halloween - November 6th! I can't believe he took this long but I'm so relieved it's done. We're headed to Ocho Rios, Jamaica to Couples San Souci. And I can't wait to have a very relaxing honeymoon.
We have had our fligths booked for about a month, but just booked the hotels for Morocco and Paris today!! we are definitely feeling more excited for the honeymoon how!!
LOL, this is making me feel normal. Some brides get the label "bridezilla"...I ended up with "Honeymoonzilla". I. Cannot. Wait. To. Leave. We're going on a cruise, which neither of us has ever done before, to tour the ancient sites in southern Europe and also Egypt. Rome, Athens, Ephesus, Cairo....sigh. Honeymoon, I love you. Will you marry me?
I'm definitely getting more stoked about the honeymoon than the wedding! ha! We are going to tahiti next June and I just finished booking the trip today through my agent! i'm sooo excited!

Hi October 2010 brides.
We just booked our honeymoon flights last night - I was starting to worry as the prices were starting to rise, so we went ahead and booked before they got any pricier.
We already have our accommodations booked for week two (Paris), but haven't booked them for week one yet (throughout Portugal).
Where are you in your honeymoon planning?
Sometimes I think we're more excited for our honeymoon than the actual wedding!
