YAY! This is the part we have been both the most excited about and the most stressed over. I’m so glad it’s booked! Sandals Grande Antigua, here we come! I seriously cannot wait, especially since the feels like is 3* and that’s considered warm right now….
Still so much left to do it feels like!
-book wedding night hotel
-paint wine bottles for centerpieces
-pick meals for reception
-make song list
-figure out what the heck to do for favors (suggestions would be AWESOME)
-design/print place cards
-everything else I am sure I’m forgetting!
October ’14 bees, where are you at in your planning and how far behind am I?!

We still have quite a bit to do! Almost all of the decor table decorations/settings have been purchased. I tubs and tubs of wedding stuff in our spare bedrooms.. it’s seriously taking over!
Reception venue is officially booked, waiting on a callback to officially book the ceremony space, although we are already on the books, we just need to pay.
Still looking for a dj/photographer, struggly a bit with it.

@SarahTee: Exciting! Sandals Antigua was one of the places we debated about going to for a while 🙂 we ended up going to St. Lucia but Antigua is on our list! You will, love Sandals, we were reallyntaken care of there. Saw that you were looking for suggestions…we did a “goirmet” popcorn bar. For about 115 people, we spent about $125. Definitely afordable and soooooo good. We did some sweet flavors, savory flavors, and just standard. It was a hit with the guests

@Daizy914: oh geesh. That’s a big one to forget. *facepalm* I just had a dream last night that I forgot to get my dress altered, didn’t book a hair appointment, and slept until noon! Im sure I’ll have the “oops didn’t get a marriage license” dream soon.
@jenilynevette: sounds like you’ve got a lot done! We are using wine bottles for our centerpieces so I’m telling everybody to start drinking! I’m sure I’ll end up buying more stuff. Unfortunately FI and I don’t have any spare space in our two bedroom place for wedding stuff, and my parents big basement is 3.5 hours away! It sure is complicating the process.
@Britt214: I’m so glad to hear you enjoyed sandals! I was a little hesitant to go the chain resort route, but everybody has had such great things to say! Thanks for the suggestion! FI loves popcorn so that may be perfect for us!

@SarahTee: lol dont worry….we almost forgot that one too. My MIL emailed me a month before the wedding with a list of things to do and one of them was marriage license and i almost had a hear attack! I couldnt believe i forgot that!

Our honey moon is up in the air right now. FI just started a new job and will be in training for 18 months, and I’ll be starting a new job hopefully in april/may.. so we won’t be able to get the vacation time 🙁
Still to do:
Meeting with decor rental/design place on Tuesday
favors (or might just do a donation)
personal touch decorations (photos etc that I want to incorporate)
bridesmaids dresses (they are picking their own and being slow about it!)
gifts for the girls and for my guy
book hair/make up girl

@Daizy914: Oh geesh. That would have freaked me out so badly. I’m going to put an alarm a day in my phone as soon as it’s close enough for me to get it.
@MrsPhilly: Looks like you’ve made a lot of progress so far! I was going to have my girls choose their own dresses but knowing them it would be August and they wouldn’t have anything. Too much room for error for my sanity.

@SarahTee: get it a month before. Its valid for 90 or 60 days i believe

i don’t think you are behind at all. i haven’t booked our honeymoon yet.but i’ve got most of the vendors and i’m getting bridesmaid dresses next weekend! 🙂 we still have awhile, i feel like its never going to get here 🙁

@Daizy914: I just checked and it’s 60 in PA. We will probably end up going in the beginning of September. I know I’ll want to go on August 6th though!
@senglish0410: I think I will always feel behind haha. Totally agreed, I know time will fly but I just wish it were here now! I keep asking FI if he just wants to run to the courthouse now, lol. It sure would be easier!

Yah, we are date twin!!!
I haven’t get much done either, mostly because FI is so laid back………and I’m a lazy person to begin with. Right now I’m focusing on losing weight for engagement photos in April.
I am 80% sure this is what I’m getting for wedding favour. My engagement photos theme is sakura, so this is on my list. The price will be cheaper as my MOH going to try getting it from China directly (it work out to be $1 each with packaging)

My FMIL is planning our honeymoon and surprising us with the details at the wedding so at least that one is off my checklist! We have most of the major things done and now just killing time…my still to dos:
Mail Save The Dates – Have them ready to go, just need to drop in the mail!
Invitations (out end of July probably)
Book salon makeup/hair for trial and day-of
Marriage License 🙂
For favors I got personalized stickers that say “hugs and kisses from the new Mr and Mrs”, “xoxoxo” and others with our wedding date/names. I am going to stick them to the bottoms of Hershey Kisses in our wedding colors and then put them into little organza pouches. We got this awesome etched wood leaves off Etsy with our names and wedding date to tie on the outside of the favor bags.
