I’m about ready to book a venue, I have saved a lot of money for my wedding so far, but I’m looking for a better paying job to help.
I’m afraid once I book I won’t find a better job and I will end up having a rough time putting this wedding together.
I know it’s supposed to be the best day ever, and I already have a very modest budget ($15,000).
Any words of advice?

I know it’s scary to sign on the dotted line – it’s a huge commitment and purchase! My own personal advice to you is to NOT book a venue that you can only afford if you get a higher paying job. You’ll just stress yourself out.
If it’s only a matter of, “I can afford this venue but it will be tight,” then you do have lots of options: no favors, fewer flowers/DIY flowers using a place like Sam’s Club, less expensive entree selections, less expensive bar package, etc.
Trust me when I say, it’s better to have a modest budget/modest venue and not be stressed about money. It will consume your life if you get in over your head (as I’ve read other Bees have done).

@Luv2BeachIt: That’s what I think too. If we sign the dotted line, it will be tight, but we can afford it (especially with three sets of parents helping us!)
Thanks for the advice. The wedding would be 15 months away, so I think it might be manageable.
Still looking for a better job, though. 😉

I think you’re doing everything right, and 15 months is a long time to save up the money! Good luck!! 🙂

We’re pooling our money together as we speak and will have a date by Wednesday!
