We plan on sending out save the dates in December because we’re planning for a holiday weekend wedding. We’re going to have a website with all of the info. Should we wait until invites go out to include hotel informatino, or should we have it up on the site with the save the dates? I guess I should check in with my venue too, but I was curious what other bees have done.

Have it on your website when you send out the StD, if you have room blocks, or it’s a popular area, that may book-up fast.
I. e. My nephew was married mid-July. His room block, with discounted rates, expired early May. My daughter was also married this summer. I set-up four different room blocks (holiday weekend); they expired between 4 and 6 weeks before the wedding date. When guest RSVPd – which was primarily done by e-mail, I sent guests a reminder about booking rooms, including most of the information that was on their wedding website’s accomodations section.

Just having the hotel info on the wedding website should be fine. If it’s going to be a busy weekend for the hotels, I would also mention on the website to book promptly to ensure room availability in case you aren’t able to expand your hotel block. I doubt people would be booking hotels until they receive the actual invitation.
