Is anybody else using books as centerpieces? I’ve seen some awesome inspiration photos, and I’ve been going to this amazing antique mall and slowly but surely picking up classics, and I plan to use them. When I told FI’s younger brother about it, though, his look was classic: BOOKS???
Has anybody done this or is doing this? I want to make sure it looks good!! I’m also using milk glass vases, with various single stem flowers (garden roses, ranaculous, etc.) in them. I would also love to incorporate antique tea cups into a different centerpiece (I’m looking to have about three) but haven’t quite figured it out, even though I’ve seen some cute pictures. Any suggestions? Do those even go together? I’m going for the sweet/charming vintage-inspired. We would sccatter some candles and petals too, and on some tables incorporate very old family photos in antique-y frames.
Here are some of my inspiration photos

I think the books are a wonderful idea. Have you thought about how many you’ll need or what color, size, title you’ll want them to be?

I like the book idea all tied up with a bow. It will give the tables a little height for your centerpieces. I wish I thought of this before my wedding because you guessed it…I’m a librarian. I wish I remembered where I saw it on here but a bee used books and had covers made with made-up titles that represented her and her fiance.

Well, I think I’m going to have about 30 tables, and with three different centerpieces… enough books for 10 tables?
I already have about 20 I’ve collected… classics like Great Expectations, Great Gatsby, some Shakespeare, some Mark Twain, etc. I’ve tried to make sure they’re a variety of sizes/color to add some variety.

My fiance and I are actually looking at doing those. Maybe similar to Mrs. Lovebug, which you may have been thinking of @kaybee. Her post on it can be found here. I think book as a part of centerpieces are soooo cute. We are also thinking of doing placed out of books as table names, I think Mrs. Avocado did something like that. But we don’t want to theme our wedding with books or anything. It’s a nice alternative to numbers.

Yes I did and I loved it. Then I sold them all after our wedding for a new bride to do something similar
