“This is where it all begins. Everything starts here, today.”
― David NichollsOne Day

I read this book a while ago and didn’t think it was very romantic until my bff told me how she saw it. I just quickly googled this quote, but I’m sure there are more.

And therefore is winged Cupid painted blind.”

Than never to have loved at all.”

Thanks for this post, the Robert Fulghum reading is exactly what I needed for my ceremony. Some more literary quotes for you:

“He’s more myself than I am. Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same.”

–         Emily Bronte, Wurthering Heights

“To love or have loved, that is enough. Ask nothing further. There is no other pearl to be found in the dark folds of life.”

–          Victor Hugo, Les Miserables

“He knew that when he kissed this girl, and forever wed his unutterable visions to her perishable breath, his mind would never romp again like the mind of God. So he waited, listening for a moment longer to the tuning-fork that had been struck upon a star. Then he kissed her. At his lips’ touch she blossomed for him like a flower and the incarnation was complete.”

–          F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Great Gatsby

“Grow old along with me! The best is yet to be.”

–          Robert Browning, Rabbi Ben Ezra

Also just came across this one…

I don’t ask you to love me always like this, but I ask you to remember. Somewhere inside me there’ll always be the person I am to-night.

– F. Scott Fitzgerald, Tender is the Night
