I went to a bridal salon and saw a maggie sotero sabelle dress fell in love with it. the owner said it was in diamond white. I went to a bridal store closer to my house and saw the same dress but the crystals were yellowed and the dress was alot darker. I asked the consultant and she said it was diamond white sabelle dress. I took my mom to both stores and she agreed that the beading is different and the shade of white is different. The owner of the first store said it could be a bootleg maggie dress. Has anyone ever heard of a reputable bridal salon selling bootleg dresses. And how do I know which store has the bootleg. Both dresses had maggie labels in them and the satin straps to hang the dress up with had maggie sotero.
I am running out of time to order the dress.

They might had the dress longer time! Sometimes that makes the dress look yellowish.

Yea a lot of times with those sample dresses, they are worn so many times that they can get a gross yellowish color. And with the beading, each dress is made individually, so if you order that particular dress style, it won’t be 100% the same. That’s the beauty of buying those kinds of dresses, they are hand made and not cookie cutter! 🙂

Sorry this has nothing to do with your question but I keep just glancing at the post title and I mix up words sometimes when I just glance at them so everytime I keep reading “Bootie Maggie Sotero dress”

Call Maggie Sottero and see if the salon actually carries Maggie Sottero. Some diamond whites do look like they have some yellow in it. I have a Alfred Angelo dress that is diamond white and I think its got a yellow hue too it. I’m not sure how they dye a dress to make it look diamond white. Each dress is not always the same color.

Maggie’s diamond white is pretty white!
I would look on maggie’s website to see if they are on Maggie’s list of retailers!

i have the sabelle and when i went to go try it on and took pictures of me in the dress. one picture the dress looks white and the other picture the dress looks creme color. my dress has yellow stones on the top part of the dress and it came with the certificate. you should ask both the bridal salons if they come with an certificate of authenticity.

The dress that has yellowed may have been sitting at the store longer than the other one. Also dresses exposed to the sun (i.e., store window) tend to yellow the beads over time.
