Okay, so I'm clueless. I feel so stupid for even having to ask this...

But please, someone, tell me how to do the boots w/ skinny jeans look. I have skinny jeans, and I just bought boots, but something isn't adding up. What's with the bunching at the knees?

I'm even adding a picture. Is it just that I need stirrups? The jeans I'm wearing now are quite stretchy and therefore rather tight, I can't imagine stirrups helping that much.

Thank you, wise Bees, for your help! I'm only 24 I really should be more down with what the kids are wearing today. hahahaha.

buy skinnier leg jeans (with lycra).

also, maybe 1 size smaller so the jeans fit snug.

I usually tuck my jeans into my socks, and pull my socks up as high as they go. Also, make sure your jeans aren't sagging, so if they are a bit and you're not wearing a belt, that might help too with the bunching up.

the jeans may be too big on you.  You can try using trouser-type socks to tuck more of the jean in it -helps with the bunching.

Haha you're not doing it wrong, I think you just have the wrong type of skinny jeans for what you're looking for! I get really tight/stretchy skinny jeans that I wear with my boots. I guess you could say they border on being "jeggings" (ugh, hate that word). But the skinnier/tighter they are, the less bunching.

I get mine at Forever 21 for less than 15 dollars a pair.

Jeggings are best for this look; they are the stretchy jeans.

hahahah this whole thing is cracking me up!!

I'm such a dork... I thought when I bought the aforementioned skinny jeans that they were pretty damn tight! I guess I was judging that more by the butt area than the knees. siiiigh.

Thank you for all your help!! I feel like all I wear in the winter are my Birkenstock clogs and I really need to look more polished.

I think I'll hold on to the boots in case I need to do a return and search around for some tighter jeans!

I agree with everyone else -- they should be tighter around the bottom. I have some that are a little long on me, so I'll tuck the hem under my heel and then shove my foot into the boot--like a makeshit stirrup :P

I got jeggings at Target for $11! I was convinced they would "sit" all wrong on my lower regions but I was wrong. Super steal if you ask me.

jegging would be great but if you pull your jeans down lower, and peg them ( like in the 80's) puting the thicker part by your calf  ti should work. I dont trip or think it looks funny if my jeans bunch up just a wee lil bit.

Buy some long socks and put the jeans under the calf part of the sock. then cover with your boots.

I agree with getting tighter jeans. True skinny jeans should fit snuggly right down the leg, yours look more like slim-fit ones to me.

You can still stop the bunching though by getting thick long-ish socks, pulling your jeans tight, wrapping any excess tightly round your leg, and tucking them into the socks

I second the tighter jeans and tall socks OVER the jeans... it helps keep everything in place. :)

they look "too big" (meaning they aren't skin tight lol) even on you right leg. so you probably need tighter jeans. and before you zip them up pull down the ends a little, that might help in addition to the sock thing

I bought some high waisted black jeggings (on clearance $14 and they're DKNY!) they're great

PP are right, you need tighter jeans or some kind of jeggings. I don't have anything to add except that I LOVE those boots, don't return them! I don't think that the bunching even looks really bad, you could definitely still wear them the way they are now and it would be ok :)

your jeans aren't tight enough - try get some that are ever so slightly stretchy as they will cling to your leg more

Yep Jeggings, which I need to buy btw!

I always love the look of my black leggings w/ the boots b/c they don't bunch. But my "skinny jeans" that I bought do bunch just like yours. So I think buying a super stretchy jean like jeggins will achieve the look of my black leggings.

my normal skinny jeans (aka skinny but not skin tight) are too bunchy so i have a pair of 918s from the limited that are very tight (and a bit short) at the ankles and they are PERFECT! the fact that their a bit short helps tremendously

I got skinny jeans from AE and they work pretty great!  They're stretchy and the guy there told me to get a size smaller because they will stretch out over the day.  They're probably as close as you can get to jeggings without them being jeggings lol.  And I think they were only $35!  Probably cheaper during a sale or whatever :)

I agree with the jeans needing to be "skinnier". But you may also want to try what a PP said, and get some knee high type socks and tuck the jeans into them. I do that with all my skinny jean/boot combos. Helps to keep the jeans tucked down there when you walk and move around too!

I like SUPER skinny jeans or jeggings to wear with my boots. You aren't doing it wrong :) Just a tighter jean would really help but I also agree with those who suggested putting your sock over your jean, looks silly when the boots are off, but it works!
