Bees, I need your help! I desperately want to get some cute Frye boots but my dancer calves WON’T allow it! Even when I google Wide Calve boots they are STILL too small for me!
I am only a size 6 but my calves are 17” around!! Does anyone have great boot suggestions?

I found some Frye boots on Nordstroms website. They say 14″ calf, but will stretch for a wider calf. Nordstrom has a great return policy, so you could always try them out and return them if they don’t work. (Frye is expensive btw! :))
These have a 17″ calf circumference.
These are 16″, may or may not work…
And I hear ya on the big calves. I run and have 15″ calves. I like the muscular look, but damn is finding boots a problem.

@CocoLoco523: Thank you! I have a Nordstoms closer to my house. They really ARE expensive but I think they are worth it. Especially if they are high quality and I can keep them for a long time! I am too nervous to order online!

frye has some extended calf sizes, like these:
I have big calves also ( 15 inches on a size 6) and I bought a professional boot shaft stretcher on amazon.
it wasn’t cheap, but I live in boots and my cobbler charges $20 to stretch shafts and never stretches them enough. I’m so glad I bought it, and I’ve stretched over 10 pairs of boots so i figured it already paid for itself!

@SweetartMD: I have wide calves too and even with the widest frye offers I had to return the ones I was drooling over all summer. I found Born is good for wide calves in the they arent too big in the ankle area which I hated in other boots. They arent the same quality as frye but at least I can wear boots without feeling like they were falling off as I walked

@minted: Thanks! Good point! I have very slim ankles and some of the boots I have seen for wider calves also have wide ankles, which looks strange imo!
I will have to look into those ones, I don’t really care if they are “frye”, cute boots are cute boots!

Duo are a UK brand, but I noticed the other day they do free US shipping and have 15% off at the moment. They have 10 different calf widths – I love them! They’re not cheap, but the ones I have have lasted really well. They have really detailed info on the website about measuring yourself.

I have 15″ inch (I think?) that cannot EVER fit into Frye. I bought a pair of Enzo Angiolini last year and I LOVE them. Very cute and very comfortable. While they don’t carry the specific style anymore (Saylem) they do have a comperable pair. i think the website says they are 15.5″ inches but from my experience they do stretch out. They are definitely worth a try.

Lane Bryant usually has boots for larger calves.

Bennet’s Boots specialise in boots for wide calves. They aren’t cheap but they are very comfortable and excellent quality. They also have a good range of styles and appear to ship to the US

Check out this website!!! My Mom came across it while looking for wide calf boots for herself. You order based on shoe size and calf width, and they fit calves even 19 inches. There is a video explaining how to find your correct size. Check it out! They look like awesome boots too and there are a lot of style choices.

@Eat-well-travel-often: I second this. I LOVE my Duo boots.
Even though they were expensive, it was worth it to finally find boots that fit my calves.

I have largeish calves too. Boots are hard to shop for.
