Have you considered that, since you're from St. Louis, you'll have to travel to Los Angeles to catch these flights?
And that it's a VERY long flight to Bora Bora for only 4-5 nights? Like, a 15+ hour trip? Plus you may have to stay overnight in LA...
A flight from st. louis to Lax is around 230 dollars. Yes I have considered. WE plan on staying one day in Los angeles. And the flight is only 8 hours.
Also, we went to Rome and Barcelona last year for 2 weeks. That was way too long, i was ready to come home after 5-6 days.
Yea, I think im going to go with the Hilton its a cheaper price, but we still have to pay for dinner.
I had a friend of the family just get back from an over the water bungalow in Bora Bora and said it was the best decision she ever made in regards to her wedding. If it wasnt so late I would call to get more details. I think it sounds magical and would probably equal the same as staying on land with food, so I would go for it!
We looked into Costco, Amex, and AAA and after researching those packages and the boards here on Weddingbee. We booked our Tahitian honeymoon through TahitiTravelMate which I found from another thread here on WB. They were able to get us the best $$ deal.
We're going in February and we're staying 3 nights in Moorea and 5 nights in Bora Bora. In Moorea we're staying at The Hilton and in Bora Bora we're staying at Le Meridien. At both resorts we're staying in over water bungalows....SO excited can't wait
Jacki-o did they have a payment plan? because I see some good deals on that site..thanks for mentioning it.
@tenchyz - - I just sent you a PM
I hope the info helps and please please please don't hesitate letting me know if you have any additional questions or need any additional help!
I just booked my Moorea/Bora Bora honeymoon today! We booked through costco...3 nights in garden bungalow at the Hilton in Moorea, 4 nights premium over water bungalow at the Pearl in Bora Bora. Our package includes breakfast at both hotels but we opted not to do the dinners. We decided that we don't want to be stuck dinning at the same place every night. Also, I don't know how much of a savings it really is..might as well just pay it when we get there, right?
Thanks Jackie-O for the Tahiti Travel Mate tip. I am going to try calling tomorrow...we have 2 days to cancel with costco...although I think we are getting a pretty good deal.
@jackie-o:I know this thread was 3 months ago, but it was really helpful! Thanks, Jackie-o :)
Just got back from my honeymoon. I went with the Hilton, and it was fabulous! Pictures below!
