My colors are Ivory and Espresso brown and I am having my flowers in "fall" colors (oranges, reds, yellows, purples) to pop against the Ivory/Brown. What about Cream and dark brown with the pinks/peaches at accent colors?
Have you checked out the inspiration boards on Snippet and Ink? http://snippetandink.blogspot.com/
They are absolutely helpful with picking out color palettes and can help you visualize your event. Good luck!
thanks! that website is really giving me a lot of great ideas! i think im going to go with browns and creams for our main colors and peach and pinks and blues as our accents. cute?
Check out Style Me Pretty (www.stylemepretty.com) too. The real weddings there are gorgeous and inspirational, you might find something that helps there.
oh, I think deep browns with creams/ivories is incredibly elegant! not boring at all.
We are going with espresso brown and ivory as well. I hear steel gray is the new brown, but brown works better with our venue so that's why we went with it. Totally agree with MsPopcorn - it's an elegant color combo!
I think dark browns are elegant. But agree with pp- if I was at the beginning again I would be all over the steel gray and maybe a yellow accent. Looks very fresh and chic!
My wedding colors were champagne, cream, and chocolate brown, with red accents. I think it all came together very nicely. Having the neutral colors with the red accents ended up being very pretty.
What colors does your venue have? I have seen some pretty vintage ones with dusty rose colors mixed in, but I think some metallic accents & some bolder flowers would be beautiful!
We are going with dark brown & a celery/lime green plus some eggplant accents.
I recently went to look at the venue where my wedding reception is being held. The Ballroom was set up with Brown Silk Tablecloths, cream napkins and pink/peach/ flowers. IT WAS INCREDIBLE!
wow all your ideas sound beautiful! my venue is very green and grassy with elm trees everywhere. so i think brown would work well but we definitely need color accents! i was thinking peach and cranberry!
