I think it is a great something borrowed. I would be honored if a friend asked me to borrow something I used in my wedding.
I don't think that there is anything wrong with it. In fact, it seems like a nice guesture. You are complimenting her style! In fact, my FSIL just used one of her bridesmatron's veils at her wedding 3 weeks ago as her "something borrowed"!
A friend of mine wore a veil that she borrowed, and it has been borrowed since. I wouldn't think it's weird if a friend asked to borrow mine.
BTW, hi there Michigan date twin (I'm getting married in Dearborn)! Hope all's going well with planning!

My wedding is now a month away and I still don't have my veil. I keep looking around online, unable to make a decision. I was looking through photos of my friend's wedding that I took last summer and realized that her veil was perfect. Do you think it would be inappropriate to ask her if I could borrow it? I also need my "something borrowed" so the veil could double as this. I just don't want to ask her if it would be offensive. How would you feel if someone asked to borrow your veil?
I'm extremely worried about etiquette in this situation. We are not extremely close friends but we have shared some big moments together. Please just tell me what you think!
