Hi there!

Can anyone recommend any wedidng hair vendors in the Boston area? I'm not getting married until next May, but I've been researching vendors since I got engaged last May! I'm planning to have my hair half-up, with loose waves. I'm Asian, and have thick medium hair with a lot of stubborn flyaways!

Any recommendations is greatly appreciated!

I love my hair dresser, she works in Dedham, MA, which is right outside of Boston. She just changed Salons, if Dedham isn't too far, I could get her name. She used to work at Salon Capri, which has won Best of Boston, multiple times.

I highly recommend Lypor Tea (http://www.lypor.com). She did the hair for my wedding and a few of my friends, and always does an amazing job (especially with Asian hair!). She also does makeup, so maybe you could use her for both if you're still looking for a makeup artist?

Her website is a bit outdated and only works in IE, but I'm sure she can send you a ton of updated pictures. Her contact info is located on her website.

I'm going to second the Lypor recommendation. She is FANTASTIC! I used her for both hair and makeup, and both came out phenominal!

Yes, I've been hearing good things about Lypor and been to her website. It's good that she does both hair and makeup which is actually ideal for me. However she's from Chelmsford, I know she will travel to me on my wedding day, but does she travel for the consultation too??

Hey Cherry Blossom,

I traveled to Chelmsford for the consultation, and I know that my other friends did too. I would suggest just emailing her to see if she'd be willing to travel to you, possibly for an extra fee? She's totally worth it!

I second, Emilie's suggestion. I also went to Chelmsford, but my parents live near there, so it wasn't hard for me to get to. Also, I know Lypor works in Chelmsford, but she doesn't live there. In fact, I think I recall her saying that she had a really long commute to get to work! So, maybe you're closer to her than her work!
