Boston Filipino Wedding Caterers?

posted 1 month ago in Boston

I'm a Filipino who is getting married to a wonderful Irish girl in Boston and I am at a loss! Any vendor that does a full wedding (rentals, wait staff, etc.) has no understanding of what real Pinoy food is about. They think "chinese spring rolls" instead of "lumpia" with sweet and sour dipping sauce. They don't understand lichon or adobo or how to incorporate our Filipino /need/ (and I mean NEED) for jasmine rice. Are there any catering chefs who you lovely bees could point me to? Ones who are willing to do authentic Filipino fare? mixed with traditional Irish cuisine?

I don't believe there are too many Filipino caterers in general, much less that specialize for weddings. However, I was able to find a small Filipino caterer http://www.kakain-na.com/ who you might be able to work with. I believe he does smaller events but might be able to do your wedding or refer you to someone else. Or http://jnjturoturo.com/ , they're a restaurant but they do some catering events as well. Hope this helps!
