::feels sheepish:: Thanks, Springroll, I did see that link (actually its what I sent out to my friends when I was explaining what i wanted to do). I was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction or more blogs/profiles that have examples of other photographers' work just to see what else is out there.
Also, if anyone has any reviews for Jennifer Combs of "Forever-Yesterday Photography" (she's based out of Baltimore, MD), I would really appreciate hearing about it! Thanks~
I don't know about Jennifer, but I met these photographers at a bridal show and although I talked to them about wedding coverage I think their budouir shots are pretty cute.
I LOVED my experience with Audrey Snow in Ft. Myers. She drove to St. Pete (2.5 hrs away) for my shoot, and she did a great job. My fav outfit was borrowing one of my fiance's white dress shirts, but I had 4-5 different clothing changes. She sent over 200 pics for me to see, and I chose the best 50 for her to edit. It will be tough to narrow down for an album!
I think it's a great surprise for your husband, and I felt wonderful doing it just for me also. It made me feel incredible and classy and glamorous.
If you're nervous, have a glass of wine. But I was just excited, and the photographer really put me at ease from the beginning. I advise using a female, not a male ;)
I loved doing boudoirs. I shot mine with a married couple, and brought my MOH (younger sister) so I wouldn't feel so uncomfortable. I did some lingerie, a tank top and boy shorts, and a jersey. I also brought a really sexy, slinky dress that I love and look fabulous in. When I did more revealing shots (they wait until you're comfortable before they do those!) I sent MOH down to get something to eat! Just have fun!
One way is to look at various boudoir photographers sites and galleries and get an idea of what you would be comfortable wearing and posing. Collect some sample shots that you really love to show your photographer. I'm sure the photographer will have some ideas about how to get comfortable. He/she must work with models and subjects often and will definitely ease you into the shoot. And having the rest of your girlfriends there will definitely make a difference!
I've been looking into this, but I don't know where to have them done. It makes me a little nervous, but I think he will love it, and thats kinda the point, right?
I am using Leah Stafford - she has recently added some more marathon shoots. You can look up her gallery and blogs on leahstaffordphotography.com.
88Mwifey - I think she is based in Ohio, but I don't know how close to you, she might be an option for you.
Has anyone out there used her? My session isn't until the end of the month.
Thank you so much for the links! Keep them coming!
I'm also still wondering if any Baltimore/DC bees have used Forever Yesterday for a shoot...
Another site to check out is Pajama Glamour, located in CA.... not anywhere near DC/Baltimore, but maybe you could get more ideas from their portfolio? www.pajamaglamour.com Also - if anyone has used them, I'd love to hear reviews!
<span class="postby">kljarrett: I looked into Leah Stafford, too! I pretty much stalk her blog and plan on booking with her sometime before my May 2010 wedding. I had a brief e-mail exchange with her a few months ago just to tell her how amazing I thought her work is. I'd recommend her and haven't even worked with her.

A couple of my girlfriends and I are looking into booking a photographer to do boudior shoots for us, and I was wondering if anyone had any tips on what to expect, what sort of "outfits" worked, and anything that might help us relax and enjoy it! Thanks~
