Several of my girlfriends have done this. One did the album from the photog. The other got the disk.
Friend who got the disk made her own book on Shutterfly and was going to do a calendar too! Depends on how nice of an album you want. I think you can still do hardcover books from Shutterfly.- then friend who got the photog book wished she'd done that instead!
I wouldn't worry about your photos floating in cyber space. Or, have the guy at the photo place near you print them, and make your own album with a scrapbook. But that'd weird me out more :)
I've gotten my b-pics on a DVD and am currently researching good options for getting an album made. I'd like to do it myself except for the fact that I love, love, love the option of getting one photo to cover two pages in a photobook.

Like wedding photos, it seems that most of the cost is in the albums when you go through a photographer. I have found a couple of photographers willing to release the images on CD. I'm not sure how I feel about sending my boudoir shots into cyberspace to have an album created
but it is so much cheaper.
Has anyone ever done this? If so, where did you order the album from?
