I had a boudoir photo shoot back in March, which included a photo book. I’ve been holding onto it, waiting for the right time to give it to my Fiance. He’s leaving tomorrow morning for his Out of Town bachelor party weekend, so we had a date night last night and I gave it to him.
He LOVES it … absolutely positively smiling from ear to ear, opened it and looked at it half a dozen times … LOVES IT!
I know a lot of bees question whether this is something their Fiance would really appreciate or whether they would think it’s weird. Hands down, my Fiance thought it was fabulous and can’t/won’t stop talking about it. He had never heard of anyone doing this, so for him, he really thought it was a nice gesture that I would go out of my way and get this done for him.
The other positive that came out of this experience is that it really does do a boost to your self-esteem. It felt really awkward in the beginning of taking the photos but once I relaxed, it really was a lot of fun (and not something you get to do everyday). And when I finally got to see the photos – wow, they’re so professional and classy (yet sexy at the same time).
Anyway, for those that are on the fence, I think it really comes down to how well you know your Fiance and if he’s the type that would appreciate it or whether he’d think it was creepy. But for me, it was a fabulous experience and I got the perfect reaction.

thats awesome! glad it went so well!! and what an awesome time to give it to him – right before his bachelor pary, i love it!
and i agree that you need to know your Fiance. I had thought about doing a boudoir shoot but he was totally and completely against the idea, so i guess it will never happen. oh well.

I’m doing a boudoir photo book for my Fiance as well! I just know he’s going to go crazy 🙂 I did some already in casual lingerie, ect that I’m going to give to him the night before the wedding… I’m also taking pictures in my wedding lingerie to give to him after the wedding as sort of a momento of the wedding night

Glad he loved it! Takes some nerve to do those kind of photos but its so worth it! I did one as well and im trying to decide when to decide when to give it to him…. thinking maybe after the wedding rehearsal when he and i get a moment alone. then he will be so excited for the next day, probably wont sleep.
I agree it is a total boost of confidence! My photographer made me feel so comfortable and made me feel at ease. I had looked into what angles and stuff might look best and gave all my ideas to her and they all turned out better than i thought. Made me feel confident and reassured myself how beautiful i am.
Cant wait to see his reaction because he has no idea i did this for him but i know he will love love LOVE it! Grinning ear to ear as yours did!
