    Hi Bees!

I was wondering if any NY/NJ brides could recommend a boudoir photographer to me?  I am hoping that I can get this done for my future-hubby!! :) I appreciate any info you can give me....

    Thanks!

@TheFutureMrsC:  Recommend Angela Pilat.  Many of the ones in the NJ area to me are "snapshot" photographers.  Look at samples carefully.

Our photographer (Sarah Tew) has done a number of budoir and maternity shoots.  The albums she showed us were really gorgeous - also, if you're interested in booking with her you can pm me - she sent me a bunch of $50 off photo-shoot coupons to use towards budoir/private sessions.  I won't be using them so you're welcome to have one!

John Barone Photo. John is amazing. I loved my boudoir pics. For $500, you get a 5 hour photo session with professional hair and makeup included. John has a background in commercial photography, so his work has a great professional edge.

@jerseymilo:  Check out her blog post.  Natural light works for generic lifestyle photography but the blown out backgrounds don't work IMO with boudoir.  Photographer has to have a knowedge on using off camera flash in this environment.

@USER876: I think the aperature settings worked great with the lighting in the room, and the photos turned out beyond amazing! The whole point of "blurring" (aperature) is to reduce the background, and focus on the image, ME :-)
