I'm 99% sold that I want to do this too... Keeping my mouth shut will really be the hard part...
I'm definitely going to try to keep it a secret. FI will be so suprised!
He knew I was going to get photos taken, but I let him think they were bridals (I come from a VERY southern family who insisted that I get these done). I'm going to give him the book (Blurb) as his wedding gift.
I got mine done 2 weeks ago, and waiting for the CD to come in the mail. I'm going to have a Blurb or some kind of book made for him as my wedding present to him. So far the only thing I've been able to keep secret are my wedding dress and those pics, so I'm doing everything I can to not tell him!
If it makes it easier, have a girlfriend or two in on it so you can talk about it with them. My BFF went with me to get my pics cuz I was super nervous and she made me feel more comfortable being practically naked in front of a complete stranger
I have managed to keep it a secret up to this point and it is HARD! I keep trying to make him guess haha. He will be surprised and it will be worth it!
I didn't tell him. The night before the wedding I slipped into his room and put the book under the covers of his bed with a note - For your eyes only.
He loved it!!
Mine was a secret but it was soooooooooo hard. I was dying to see his face when he opened them up Christmas Eve
I surprised him with a photobook the day of the wedding, and he loved it! .... keeping my mouth shut was hard but paid off!
How much did everyone pay for these and what did you get ( if that's ok to ask ). I'm getting different quotes and I'm getting confused.
I definitely want it to be a secret. 1) Because if it's not a secret, I'll want to give it to him before the wedding and 2) because he'll try to talk me out of it since it is expensive. I don't want him to feel bad since we sort of agreed on no gifts for each other (our honeymoon is our gift to ourselves...oops ;) ).
I told him, but I didn't show him any of the preview photos. He LOVED it. I totally recommend it
I wasn't even considering doing this, but FI actually asked me if I would because he thought it would be "hot." I told him no freakin way, so now if I actually do decide to do it, I guess it would be a surprise ;o)
I'm actually great at surprises and keeping secrets and the like.
@Valerie, I spent $700 and it included hair, makeup, 4 outfit changes (technically 3 but the lady said if i was quick it'd be ok) and about 4 hours in the studio between hair/makeup, shooting and going over the pictures immediately after the shoot. I got 20 images in a "little black book" and they were done within 2 weeks. I used an all-woman studio that specializes in woman's boudoir.

Okay, I'm sold. After seeing some of the bees' amazing boudoir photos, I'm going to take the plunge and book a session. It totally makes sense to me - we all put a lot of effort into looking and feeling our healthiest for our weddings, so why not flaunt it?
My question is: did you tell your FI before you did your boudoir photos, or are you planning on surprising him?
I'd like to surprise him, but I'm terrible at keeping secrets. (E.g., FI has already seen a picture of me in my wedding dress.) I don't know how I'm going to keep my mouth shut about this one.
