DH caught me checking out sites for the photographers and was like "Ooooh what's THAT?!" just like any guy would. Trust me, he'll love them. He's a man ;)
There is no real way to ask him without him getting suspicious that you will do it!
But here is the thing - I think that boudoir photos are often more for the woman doing them than the husband. How often are you away from your husband? For me it is almost never so when is he going to look at them? But I still wanted to do it for me.
He loves that I did it and I am sure he looks at them from time to time but for the most part I think I did it more for me than for him.
So if you want to do it I say go for it! You know he will love them and you will love the experience!
I brought up the topic by "complaining" that a photographer kept sending me bulk email advertising boudoir photo shoots (I get tons of emails from all sorts of vendors since I went to a bridal show). He asked me what boudoir shoots were and after I sent him a sexy sample picture his only response was "so when are you doing it" hahaha
I did them and my FH LOVED them!
Does your FH know about weddingbee. Say there was a girl on here asking what guys thought about them and you wanted his opinion to answer the thread!
I showed my FI a thread containing some and he made it pretty clear that he thought they were a waste of money so I will not be doing them.
no he doesnt know about wedding bee...i think he'd think it was fun to read my posts and then end up spoiling some surprises that i have for him if he knew i was on here lol. Maybe Ill try to DIY them first so that i dont have to spend any money and if they turn out terrible ill look into spending money on having them done : )
I did them a few weeks ago, and should be getting my album today! I got to pick the ones I liked best from like 300 shots that she took, it was soooo fun! Granted, I will probably admit that ultimately I did it more for ME than for HIM, but I know he will love them too even if he doesn't really get a chance to look at them that often. Totally worth it!!
DO THEM!!! So fun and your FI will love them. Can't wait to give them to mine on Sunday! I brought along my two besties and a bottle of champagne too to make sure I was comfortable AND also some sweet tunes, good music totally helped. You can wear whatever you're comfortable and feel sexy in. I did lingerie and also my man's sox jersey though I'm a yanks girl. Wearing something of his is definitely a good choice :)
Doing b-pics but not e-pics! Ha, shows you where my priorities lie! I think we'll both love them and I'm planning to give them to him the night before our wedding.
I'll probably wear lingerie and then throw in a couple of things that have special significance for us. I've found T-shirt with a logo from the place we met and a pair of panties that say, "you had me at GTO" which is the car he drove when we first met.
Some photogs limit the number of outfit changes you can do. If you have a number of outfits you want to wear like I do, make sure that you pay attention to this when you're booking your photographer.
My take on hubbies and b-pics:
Most guys will have a problem with it IF you ask them. 99% of them will not have a problem with it if you do it without their knowledge and have the pics in front of them.
And yes, it's really an experience for YOU and so YOU should worry about yourself first. No man worth his salt would ever want to hear that his SO got b-pics for him even though she hated the idea and it made her uncomfortable--who'd want a memorial of a bad experience? But most men would love the pics if they hear you had a great time doing them.
I had them done and I had a good time. The pics were as much for me as they were for him.
lol lsvogel im in the same boat. I am looking into b-picts but havent given e-picts much thought! Im meeting with a photographer tommorow who ide like to photograph my wedding so ill probably ask her how much she charges for both e-picts and b-picts. Im so excited to finally meet with this lady- her picts are great! Im glad y'all said they were fun to do. makes me less nervous about just going for it!
Do it! I haven't known anyone's husband who didn't enjoy them. And you'll probably never look better. As a 6-months-pregnant lady, I'm so glad I have pictures of pre-baby me even though I certainly am no supermodel. Who knows if I'll ever look that good again? And photographers just make you look so good. Maybe when I'm old and grey I'll use them as a coffee table book. :)
I say do them!! They are a blast to do! and ur SO will love them!

I need some outside oppinion on this one. Ide really love to do some boudoir photos for my stb hubby but i have no idea how he'd feel about them. Okay so obviously most guys (who are straight) would LOVE them. Ide just kinda like to know for sure before i spend time or money. How can i casually bring this up so i can get his opinion on this sort of thing without making him suspicious? Any thoughts? : ) thanks!
