I bought a boudoir package for $150 - it was a charity thing and I kind of just did it on a whim but now I am so nervous! Luckily they serve champagne at the shoot so that will help. I also just realized the photographer is a guy which isn't the most comforting either BUT he has great reviews on Yelp and I don't plan on being fully nude - but who knows, with enough bubbly anything could happen ;). I know my FI will LOVE it though.
I think if you just google it and your city you should find a lot of results, I would suggest Yelp so you can see what your getting into. Good Luck!
My FI just told me last night that he would love for me to have it done. I'm thinking of asking one of my gay photographer friends to take them.
Thanks ladies! I started pricing them around here and they are like $500- and that is on special! I am not sure I can swing it with all of the other wedding costs, since I would have to buy some lingerie, etc.. as well.
I am so close to NYC that EVERYTHING costs more...
Hey girl! I was thinking the same thing BUT you totally don't have to be fully naked... sometimes it's sexier and a bigger tease with more on! :)
I'm in fairfield county right outside of the city and my photographer is AWESOME!!!!! Not cheap but really talented. I have mine at the end of March and definitely nervous/excited!
www.rawphotodesign.com and just click in the boudoir section. If you like him, please let him know Sarah from Bethel sent you! :)
PS my best friend and MOH is coming with. I'm also bringing some booze and my ipod for some fun music! Anything to help with comfort levels!
I'm thinking of doing them for our 1 year anniversary (paper!) and I'm planning on DIYing it with a small camera remote and a Gorilla Pod! :) I'm pretty good at touching up photos myself though and I don't mind not getting quite that professional polish on them. FH would love the fact that I did them myself.
Check out Leah Stafford! She is an awesome Ohio boudoir photographer that frequently holds marathons in NYC. http://intimateboudoirbyleah.com/

Think of what you will be comfortable wearing. You do not have to be in the skimpiest of outfits if you will be uncomfortable. A pretty robe, FI's fav jersey, a babydoll etc would all look great if you look confident in it! I am doing a boudoir session for myself and FI. I am nervous, but excited about my session in May! This has also been great motivation for me to eat healthy and go to the gym.
@littlemissmoo-I love the idea of for the first anniversary. Everything is so crazy right now I wouldn't be able to schedule it anyway.

Hey bees-
So after reading a bunch of posts and other things online about boudoir pics, I think I have decided that my FI would really love it if I gave him photos as a gift.
But can I seriously do that? I mean, be naked and sexy in front of a stranger? And how do I even find a photographer?
I have done many photo shoots before, but not sans most of my clothes!
Have any of you done this? How did you find your photographer and how much did it cost? And how did you give them to him?
And more importantly - how much wine did you drink beforehand :)
